Pokeweed is the greatest thing you can give to nature over winter.

From Hummingbirds to the stunning Leopard Moth. These plants provide the needed nourishment for all types of wildlife.

They also made excellent pokeweed mud pies as a kid. We knew not to eat. The pies were for nature. It was exciting when an animal would nibble on them.

I suppose one person sees a weed. I see a "rose" for Mother Nature.
